Public Talk, Flower Mandala & Candlelight Ceremony
Friday, 12th April 6pm
Venue: Manumission Yoga Studio, 3B Victoria Street, Paddington

In Buddhism, the mandala offers a rich and potent image. Minute by minute, day by day, we create and dissolve mandalas of the mind. Internationally renowned meditation teacher, Khandro Thrinlay Chodon will talk with us about gently witnessing the rise and fall of illusory mandalas without clinging or aversion, teaching us how to stay open hearted and present with all that unfolds in our precious lives.

We will then participate in a beautiful candlelight and flower mandala offering inspired from the heart of Khandro Rinpoche.

On arrival you will be invited to write the names of those for whom you would like to pray (deceased or those with obstacles). These will be sent to Khachodling’s Himalayan yogis and nuns so that they may perform the full 49 day puja on their behalf.

Refresh body and mind as you discover a deeper connection through a range of meditation practices, pranayama breathing and yoga with Khandro Rinpoche.

This retreat will focus on the Guru Yoga of Milarepa - an essential practice in which blessings melt with devotion and become the basis of the Mahamudra view. We are fortunate in this retreat as Khandro Rinpoche will bestow the Milarepa empowerment. Rinpoche herself received this empowerment from her father, Apho Rinpoche, who is said to be the manifestation of Milarepa.

This is a rare opportunity to receive empowerment and teachings from a highly respected female Vajrayana teacher and authentic lineage holder.

Jetsun Milarepa, is a beloved and renowned yogic meditator and poet who lived in Tibet in the 11th century. He is one of the forefathers of the Shakya Shri lineage of Vajrayana Buddhism. The story of Milarepa's life is a very inspiring one, he gained widespread fame and respect for his incredible perseverance in spiritual practice and for his profound poetic songs about attaining freedom from suffering and spiritual enlightenment.

Khandro Rinpoche as she is respectfully known, presents complex and profound teachings in a modern and accessible way. Fluent in English, Rinpoche speaks with humanity, clarity and joy as she assists you to tap into the deeper meaning of life.
